Hello...new to the forum

Hello,
We are in the planning stages of building a chicken coop for about 10-15 chickens. I'm hoping that's enough for a family of 5

I've been avidly reading the forum to get ideas.

We're located in the Central Valley of California where it doesn't freeze too much but does get hot (100's) in the summer.

We have 4 hens for our family of 3 and I had to buy eggs yesterday...we haven't had eggs in our nest boxes since August.

Is there such a thing as enough chickens?
