Hello, New to the hobby. I'm in Hernando County, FL.

Hello all,

I am new to the hobby. My plan is to start out with 3 or 4 Rhode Island Reds since I have heard they are personable and like attention. Apparently here in Hernando County, FL I am only allowed 4 chickens on a residential parcel which is fine for me. I have the permit application but haven't called yet to see what the fee is.

A few concerns for me are predators so I will have a sturdy coupe. We do have rattlesnakes here too and that is a big fear for me.
