Hello! New to the indoor caged bird section.

Thank You! When it was dark the other night I placed her up on her highest perch with a little birdie snuggy and she stayed. She has been sleeping on the perch all night is is now awake and active during the day. I guess Im just a nervous new birdie mommy lol. I just want to be sure we care for her proper.

Aww....that is just adorable!!

Sometimes they need little snuggly things to feel safe. That is so sweet!!!!!!

I am sure she will calm down soon. It is normal to be a nervous mommy. I get that way too.

Nice for your daughter and Sunny. Relationship and bonding must be natural and take place at the timing of the bird. I think your daughter is a natural.
It will help very much also to understand the mind of the birdie. I do hope Sunny is flighted even if that is not mentioned. And if not, perhaps what I wrote might allow Sunny to be flighted some time in the future.
