Hello Everyone. My name is Cindy. I am a Newbie to chickens. My gramma always had chickens, a few pigs, couple cows, a few acres of tobacco, and about an acre of fruit and veggies. I miss that farm!
Due to food quality decreasing and food prices increasing I have decided to up my urban mini-farm anty. I have a good green thumb, and this year we trippled or garden size so we can freeze & can much more food. We are also going to add some chickens. I have a small in home baking business, so needless to say I go thru a lot of eggs.

I am excited to get to know some of you all, and hope to learn everything I need to know about raising chickens. My husband and I are gonna start with 2 or 3 hens and gradually add more as we learn more.

I am hoping to convince my husband to sell our home and buy a few acres somewhere nearby and build our own mini-farm.
