yes this is why i would recomend looking for breeders who breed for good temperment instead buying from hatcheries.You didn’t get a good rooster. IMO it is mostly genetic and hormonal. You can pull him out of the flock and wait 2 months, maybe he will improve, but often not.
The best way to get a good rooster is not to keep a rotten one.
And how much experience do you (OP, I mean) have with chickens?Let's start with some key information which is is this actually a mature rooster or are you dealing with a young Cockerel who is just coming into his hormones? How old is your bird? How old are the females that he is currently in a flock with?
