Hello!
I came upon BYC while searching for help with my rescue budgies. Read good posts and suggestions on the topic.
I do not have chickens, but I LOVE them! If I wasn't in an apartment, I would try to have a couple, and also a couple of ducks (Indian Runners - my favs)! My fav chickens would be the miniatures, and also game chickens, they are so beautiful. My Mom had some many years ago.
I lived in Australia for 5 yrs and was priviledged to become a wildlife rescuer/rehabber. It was wonderful. I mostly had ducks and other waterfowl; although I did have a pair of sugar gliders, kingfishers, and a couple of rainbow lorikeets. No, I never had a koala, or a roo...Only long-time experienced peeps get mostly any mammals! But the birds were great, and I got to visit peeps that rehabbed fruit bats, wallabies, and koalas. It's a magical place downunda!
I have 2 Pembroke Welsh Corgie sisters that will be 13 yrs old in January. They take all my money for meds now, but are still in good spirits, active, and look a lot younger than they are! We will have a b'day party at the park this year!!
I am recently retired, and have a new hobby, hunting for Indian artifacts. Being in the south, it has an abundance of artifacts, where thousands of Indian peoples lived. It's been very interesting so far.
I look foward to reading about others' feathered friends, and hopefully, learning a lot!
Thanks to those that have already replied to my post! This is a great site!
Wishing All a Happy, Healthy, Safe & Prosperous 2018!!
