Hello, newbie here

Wellcome to BYC, so glad you joined:)
Amazing, I just read I quote "In 2015, it was discovered that 100 mealworms can degrade polystyrene into usable organic matter at a rate of about 34–39 milligrams per day. " end of quote from Wikipedia.org/mealworms. An other quote "
As with the popular mealworm, Zophobas morio larvae (commonly known as superworms) are widely used in pet care, more specifically as feed.

Superworms are relatively high in protein and fat, which make them attractive pet feed for captive reptiles, amphibians, fish, and birds. " end of quote.
It would be great for chickens, since I noticed they always search for insects/worms . Probably the chicken food has no enough protein...
Especially fresh one.
Congratulations for the great business choice:)

Thanks for the warm welcome. Sorry for the delay to respond, we all just got home from a week in Wildwood NJ. My chickens would eat us out of business if they could. They eat the mealworms so fast they get the hiccups. Crazy right I never heard chickens hiccup until I gave my flock a handful of mealworms. I’m guessing it’s caused by the hurry to eat as many as possible.
