Hi to all. I am new to raising chickens. We had some when I was a child but that was so long ago that I don't remember much except having a pet chicken that I kept in my room (not sure what my Mom was thinking). I have been reading BYC for about four months now. I did a lot of research before buying my chicks and BYC helped me pick the place to buy from and the type to get.
I have 4 Golden Comets and they are 9 weeks old today. I got them for the eggs they will give me in the future but so far their entertainment value is priceless. Who knew chickens could be so comical?!!
Anywho, I decided it was time to quit lurking through the posts and become a member.
