Pardon me while I mostly copy and paste from the Texas forum *grins*
I just wanted to say hello
I'm from the east side of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, just moved into a new place after moving here from Irving. I don't actually have any chickens yet but I'm in the process of researching so I can. Gotta make sure I get the best stuff and the right breeds before I really get started with it. I found this site when I googled having chickens in ones back yard and I'm amazed at what a good resource this place seems to be.
I'm currently still reading the suggested stuff & pouring over pictures/articles and whatnot. So I'm sure that I'll mostly just be lurking and watching more than anything else unless I have a question.
But nevertheless, I am very pleasantly surprised at what a welcoming site this seems to be and want to thank everyone that has put their information out there so people don't have to reinvent the wheel all the time.
