Moved out to the country 3+ years ago and got chicken our first spring. Went with the simplist, hatchery dual breeds that was told were easy to raise and hardy. Also told to expect to loose some. Well, those 12 did fine and the 18 I got last year, and so far so good for the 12 we just picked up. A lot of that was from research, at least half of it always ending up here. I'm fro. Manitoba, Canada so weather can be a challenge.
