Hi.My name is Luka Dorkić and i come from Croatia.I got my first 6 chickens and a rooster from my grandmother as my little brother loved chickens very much and my grandmother had a lot of them.Unfortunately, the rooster she gave to us was too big and before we realized what is happening to our chickens, they had their backs crushed and almost been wiped out.We ate the other 3 remaining ones and got a fresh start.

Currently i have 15 Minorca chickens wich 6 of them are roosters (we are planning to give away 3 or eat them),2 Chabo roosters (wich suprisingly get along just fine), 1 Chabo chicken, 1 special homemade breed wich our friend gave to us (it's one of those small type chickens too) and 1 standard brown domestic chicken

I found about BackyardChickens.com when i was just randomly browsing the internet for chickens when i just got them to see about them, what types are there, etc.

And also, i have to mention that my father has 3 pigeons lofts full of pigeons. Around 150 pieces.I also have 2 muscovy ducks, a muscovy drake and a mallard duck. And also...there are 2 dogs, one dacshund and one jagdterrier. They guard my polutry from cats and/or vermin.

I hope my being on this page will teach me something new and i hope i will have a good time.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

We are so glad you could join our community! Sounds like you have lots of fun birds to love over there. LOL I hope you enjoy all your poultry adventures. :)

I see you have a bird in pinless peepers in your avatar. I had a chicken hen that was a terror and she nearly lived in those things. LOL She eventually learned to see PERFECTLY in them and after that, the peepers were useless. Ha!

Pull up a roost bar and we do hope you enjoy BYC! :)

Thank you! The bird is actually not mine, it's from my friend. He has a whole back yard full of peacocks and hamburgers. It's a nice sight to see.
