Sorry for your loss but a lot of chicks look alike in early stages. I hope you won't rehome the baby chick that looks like Popcorn. You could look at it, like you have a second chance with her.

BTW if you lost her to 'paralysis disease', that sounds like Mareks. It is highly contagious and found everywhere. I hope you don't have a recurrence in other flock members.

I forgot to mention that she was never in my flock. I raised her at another house and visited her all the time. Shortly after she died I got some more chickens from my aunt and started raising my own flock At my house . So im not to worried about it affecting my flock. Unless one of the 3 chickens i got from my aunty had the disease. But anyway thanks for the information!

When I put the eggs under my broody, I had put 12 eggs out of which 4 weren't fertile, 1 was cracked, 2 were removed (because it was to much eggs for her) and one died. 6 were Dorkings and 6 were random eggs I got that I wasn't planning to Keep. And the chicken that looks like my old one is one of the random eggs. So I wasn't planning to keep t anyway. ( but I am really hoping for the dorking to be a hen!)
