Hello, please help!!

Hello! My name is Juli, as you may already tell by my user, it's a please to meet you all! :thumbsup
HELP!!!!
okay, so i have 3-6 chicken eggs. I can't afford a incubator and i've only gotten the eggs from my fathers friend. He told us that they're all born on different days, so I, of course, couldn't keep track. I've been candling them for 20 days now, and right now i seem like a failure. But as i was saying,, I have this one BIG one, and she/he is just, completely dark except for the air circulation thats in there. I cant tell if she/he is alive or not, please help me! I've been extremely worried and do not know what to do anymore. If someone could help or has an answer, PLEASE tell me!!!! :hit (I cant post any photos atm because im somewhere else.)
Welcome to BYC!
Can you get photos of the eggs being candled?
It doesnt matter which days the eggs are laid on, development doesnt begin until they're incubated! So they're all on the same day.

Hi, Juli. Welcome to Back Yard Chickens, and best wishes with that hatch! Here is a link to info on incubation, and a discussion with another new member recently who is using hot water bottles to hatch quail eggs. I don't know if the eggs have hatched yet, but this person seemed very upbeat about it. Quail eggs are much harder to candle than chicken eggs because they are spotted which adds to the difficulty of seeing inside the egg. You might contact Wonder Quails to see if they have any advice or how their eggs are doing.
