Hello! Raising chickens in California...

Hello All!

I'm new here! I life in California and seem to be the only person in my area who raises chickens and doesn't live on a farm or on more than an acre. I am glad that I found this website! My DH and I got the chicken bug last year when we were looking at pictures of coops on the Internet. We currently have 3 adolescent golden sex linked chickens, 2 white turkeys, 1 golden sex linked chick, 1 silky bantam (my baby!!), and 2 chicks that I don't know the breed of. We had 6 Rhoad Island reds last year but we had an unfortunate accident with our new doggie and a faulty coop so we had to start over this year. New coop, super sturdy and safe! We are glad to have others to ask questions and talk to other chicken people!!

I am in Milpitas and moved from Tahoe area and was wondering if anyone knew what the rules were for keeping chickens in the city of Milpitas like how many I wanted to get some laying hens no roosters also if anyone knows where I could get some nice large egg laying chickens l thanks [email protected]
