Thanks all for such a nice welcome! I only have a minute but want to say this, I've taught dog obedience and canine programs and always knew 'dog people' were great (for the most part) but chicken lovers top all! I lived in Rapid City as a child - Air Force brat. 242 Barrentine - still remember it! Enjoy the day - duck weather in Michigan, but my flock doesn't mind. The Polish look like mop heads when they get wet - but they don't care. As for snow - never thought I'd shovel a chicken path - but I do. 
And those days are not too far away - maybe a suspension bridge to the 100 year old carriage house with the dirt floor they 'bathe' in? !
