Hello!! Shouting out from New Zealand :D

Hello, I've just joined today, hoping to meet other breeders of similar interest in some breeds. *hey I love the Delawares some of the members have got....They're beautiful!

I think I could safely say that I'm somewhere between a novice to an expert level in regard to poultry-keeping with Black Wyandotte bantams being my one and only flock for almost 10 years.

It was only last year I've decided to branch out to other breeds and now I've got Columbian Wyandotte bantams, Blk tailed Japanese Bantams, Buff Pekins, Barred Rock Bantams, 1 Sussex, 1 GoldenLaced Wyandotte and a Barred Rock. The latter 3 chooks used only to provide big eggs for baking cos I got tired of having to mentally recalculate bantam eggs when following recipes that calls for big eggs!

Anyway, I'm expecting sussex bantams to hatch out this weekend

and my next lot of incubation will have eggs of Silver duckwing OEGs, Silver Duckwing Leghorns, Black Mottle Pekins and more Japanese Bantams

So here I am, hailing from New Zealand, looking forward to reading posts and meeting other people of similar interests or poultry breeds

To be honest, I'm here to learn more and to compare 'chooky' experiences :O)

*hey chicknerd, kia ora!! lol* Very impressive that you've remembered a little bit of Maori, were you over here long? I know there's a bit of cultural differences but....Here's a bit of Kiwi lingo but a real question for you....did you ever managed to tuck into some boil-up? lol

Now its time for me to 'kakite ano!' tis beddy byes for me now and its 2.49am here. *Still I wonder if I ever 'get-it' with these genetic codes and their effects! :X
