Thank you for the kind welcome and I am so good at jumping in lol. I'm on the shy side though, I'm sure you can tell .

I actually had quail for one season and I love quail eggs but we had a heck of a time with predators getting to them. We went to a lot of lengths to protect them including the use of electric wire on an outer enclosure with theirs inside but somehow we kept having issues.

I may try again though because I do love the wee beasties

Did you find someone in Canada with Malines. We only have a few, but are hoping to add to our flock or at least exchange with others, to keep them healthy. But we’re out in BC.

Hello everyone my name is Lisa.

I have had chickens for years but had to step back a few years ago when my late husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Life is starting to get back on track and I am ready to jump back in.

I live in Simcoe County, Ontario. With my new husband Sean and our two boys 4 and 11. And several crazy but wonderful dogs.

We are picking up our first trio of BCMs tonight.

We will be focusing mostly on BCM, Belgian Malines, Cream legbars, EE and possibly Welsummers. We also want to get a few polish and silkies and maybe Cochins for pets for our boys.

We pretty much have our BCM stock sorted out. We are really hoping to find some Belgian Malines and Cream Legbars if anyone in Ontario has any or hatching eggs feel free to touch base.

I'm looking forward to getting to know people in the group and sharing info
Cheers everyone
