Sorry for the one you lost. Sometimes, for unknown reasons, one will be what we call a FTT chick (failure to thrive). I'm guessing that's what happened to yours.

Generally, chicks can't get coccidiosis in their first week, but giving them Corid won't hurt. Just make sure afterward you put some vitamins in their water, like Poultry Cell or Nutri-Drench.
