Hello all from Southern California! It's super hot here today! We have some clouds overhead - but it could be smoke. You just never know over here.
I got 6 chickens two years ago. Neighbor's dog took care of 4 of them. Then I got smarter and bought 11 more! Ha! That should teach that nasty old dog!
Anyways, I have smooth and frizzled bantams and silkies. I also have a smattering of other standard layers just so I can make a decent omelet. I had about 70 birds a couple of months ago but, now I am down to about 40. Long story....
I have been using backyard chickens for lots of information for quite awhile now. This site is extremely helpful!
