Hello! My name is Rose and we have been raising small flocks of 5-10 chickens for about 10 years. I like a diverse flock and right now I have 5 adult hens and 8 chicks. Our flock is a mix of Ameraucanas, Welsummers, Blue Laced Wyandottes, Amberlink, Columbian, Australorp, Cream Legbar, Nior Maran, Lavendar Orpington and Rhode Island Red. We're excited to expanded our flock and I'm looking forward to building a new coop and enclosed run.
I enjoy watching our girls grow and their individual personalities. Of course the eggs are a plus and I get to share them with friends and family. Besides chickens we have two dogs, two betas and a leopard gecko. I came across BYC a few years ago when I was doing some research on different chicken breeds. Decided it was about time I join this great community!
