I am a new member and as you may have guessed, just got set up for our first chicken endeavor. My wife and I are thrilled and excited at what lies ahead.

We just got 4 baby chicks, 2 Barred Rocks, 1 Buff Orphington, and 1 Naked Neck, or Turkan. They are only 4 days old.

I am looking forward to all the advice and input offered here and eager to learn all I can about chickens. My other hobbies include gardening that is borderline a farm, baking, fermenting, photography, and music. I am a stay-at-home dad and my wife is a nurse. We have a 6 month old baby girl and 2 dogs.
