Hello fellow poultry enthusiasts. I am new to this forum, but not new to raising poultry. As a kid I grew up in Oregon raising Red and Black Angus cattle, Geurnsey milk cows, Toggenburg and Saanen goats, Tamworth hogs, mule stock, horses, sheep as well as ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peafowl, bobwhite quail, chukar, Auracuanas, Barnevelders, Belgian d'Uccle's, Delaware's, Dorking's and Lakenvelder's on my family's homestead.
I married my lovely wife in June of 2004 and we have two boys, Skyler who will be 6 on September 21, and Noah who will be 5 on December 6. My wife and I are still in love and enjoy every day together. We moved to Texas after getting married, and my wife has a career in Fort Worth as a chef.e currently have about 30 chickens, mostly Belgian d'Uccle's and d'Anvers, on a 10-acre farm near Fort Worth. We are in the process of tryng to purchase the farm and plan to turn it into a totally self sufficient, 100% organic homestead. I grow organic vegetables and melons and I am currently working on a blog about self sufficient homesteading, which I hope to have up by Thanksgiving.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
