I am happy to have found this forum, I have 26 acres, we are 1/4 mile off the road in the woods, hence the name winding way farm. We have approx 6 cleared acres, our chickens are free range and at times will eat with the cats, dogs, horses or goats. Eveyone gets along, I raise fainting goats, at times Tenn. Walkers and my favorite are my Old English Sheepdogs, I have 7 of my own, 2 of which are protectors of all my animal family. I have approx 16 chickens, 2 guinneas and 1 rooster, we are planning on getting new chicks in the spring, we have been out in the country for 7 years and finally getting to know the ropes. Thank you in advance for all the help I know you will be giving me in my chicken endeavor.

Sounds fabulous! I wouldn't have thought of old English sheep dogs for guarding live stock. I guess with a name like that I should have though!
