I'm new today and was searching for information On what I could help my severely crossbeaked chick thrive.
I have 23 8 week old chicks that are still in my house which is a totally different topic of conversation.
I have a variety of breeds and I ordered 21 hens and 2 roosters , unfortunely I think I may have 5 roosters in the bunch !
Hope is the crossbeak and is the most friendly lovable little thing that always wants to come out of her brooder and be near my husband and myself. Today she helped me plant my garden

That is a lot of chickens in the house, even by BYC standards. You can post photos of chicks 6 weeks or more, at "what breed or gender is this." and see how many roos you really have.

You can also check out the" Crossbeak" threads (just put that in search box) I know there is also a support group for those that care for them. Lots of folks have them and they do seem to be real sweeties, I think because of the extra handling and socialization they get.
