Just wanted to say a quick hi. I have not started my flock yet, but just trying to get all the info I can before I commit to the life of a "chicken farmer". I am constantly learning all types of information I need to get going on my chicken endeavor.

Hi and welcome to our community. If there's one bit of advice i could offer - its to buy point of lay pullets to begin with - the learning curve is less steep (and cheaper in terms of set-up) than buying chicks (and you get eggs sooner).

If you buy point of lay pullets or laying hens, you won't have to worry about rehoming roosters.
