Thanks. I have a question if you don’t mind? We just lost 3 hens and our rooster this weekend due to a predator. If we was to put another rooster in the flock do you think they would adapt to him. We just started with chickens about a year ago and had 5 hens and 1 Rooster

I'm so sorry for your loss :hugs I would think they would eventually warm up to him, but I'm not sure

The rooster would likely attack the hens because it’s not used to them. Try to gradually get the hens and roosters together, if I were you, I’d let the rooster with the hens, but watch and if the roo attacks, separate them for a bit, and then bring them back together. Once they get adapted to eachother, look every 5 mins and once they are good, look whenever you want.
