Hello.... I'm new here as well as new to the whole chicks/chicken thing... Lol.... I have a question maybe someone can help out.... I have a almost 3 week Speckled Sussex.... Tonight while communicating with it.... I made a crowing sound..... And well the chick then started doing something strange as if it was trying to crow or memic what I did.... I haven't noticed this behavior before... But is it sick or is that normal ... Or what ... Please Help

they do answer crows but 3 weeks seems awfully young to do so

It hasn't made any noise... But after I made that crowing noise it started acting like it was. Trying to crow.... The mouth was completely open ... I wanna know if that's a noemal behavior, for the to act like the a crowing or whatever its doing or If it is sick?

It sounds like your chick may have been trying to mimic you.

Thanks for your responce.... It isnt doing it anymore.... Hopefully thats what it was... And could anyone tell me at what age and how to tell what sex they are?....

Ok... Thanks.... I have 15... Chicks 3 of which I bought as pullets so hopefully that's what they are.: lol.... And the others well I guess I woll need help... Lol
