I ran into a friend at the local Barnes & Noble who was going to pick up an issue of GRIT re: Guide to Backyard Chickens. It seemed interesting so I picked up a copy too. Well ... here I am. I've nearly completed my backyard coop, and I'm anxiously trying to figure out whether it's too small. I plan to have 4-6 std Reds or Barred Rock hens for laying. I'll keep investigating. Trying to have fun.

Well One thing I have found out about coops is they are never big enough so what you should do is build it to where you can expand it in the future.
