Nice to meet you all finally! I've been a forum lurker for a few weeks now, just learning as much as I could for when the big day came to go pick up my chicks, and that day has arrived, so I figured it's about time that I joined the forums and introduced myself and my new little flock.
A few hours ago, I got my chicks settled in, and they are: a Black sex-link, a Silver Laced Wyandotte, and a Barred Rock... all hens, I'm hoping, but the people I got them from seemed very nice and knowledgeable- just got them at a local feed store that seemed to have very healthy chicks.
Still have to buy the coop, but I'm still looking around for the perfect one... and hey, I still have a little while before I have to make the final decision.
