    Hello!
My name is Julie! My husband and I live in Molino, Florida. We started raising chickens last March and we have learned sooo much since we have started.

We currently have 5 full grown hens: 1 Gold Sex Link, 2 Ameracaunas (sp?), and 2 Dominque Hens.
We just purchased 8 chicks from a hatchery yesterday: 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Black Sex Link, 1 Black Austrailorp, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 1 Gold Laced Wyandotte.
We also purchased 5 baby ducks, and I have no idea what they are. However, one of the babies crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after we arrived home. :(

I look forward to chatting with you all! :)

Hi Julie and welcome to BYC - good to have you onboard.

Whilst I realise you have some experience, the Learning Centre is a great resource, even for experienced chicken / duck keepers - loads of info on anything chicken. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Joining your state thread will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area, which can be helpful (just type the name of your state in the search box).

    All the best
