I am new to this forum. My name is Rebecca. Here are the answers to your suggested questions.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I have had chickens on and off since early childhood. Mom and Dad used to get us kids a chicken each for Easter and we would raise them as pets. When it got cold and they were big, they became dinner and we would get new chickens the next Easter.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Right now, I have no chickens, but I am supporting two boys in Liberia and want to figure out how I can help them build a coop and get them chickens so they can sell eggs and have meat in their diet.
(3) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I was looking for suggestions on enclosures for chickens in Africa, and came across this forum.
(4) What are some of your other hobbies? DIY projects at home, my grandson, logic puzzles, sudoku, gardening...
(5) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have 2 dogs, a boa constrictor, and one Tiger Barb fish.
