from Ohio. Your chicks are beautiful. Chicks usually like to start out at 95 degrees and drop 5 degrees per week. If the chicks are hundling under the light a lot, they may be a little cold. Use your good judgement, and watch their body language. They will let you know how they feel and bigstack is right lots of TLC.

You take great pictures! The first one of the BO on the roll of TP should be a post card! It is so cute.

Thank you guys so much!

I have a question- I want to get a silkie in a few days from the local feed shop and keep it in the same brooder as my one week old chicks. Will I have any problems/is this okay?

Should be ok. I would just keep an eye on them for a bit. They will peck a lil and establish a pecking order of who is boss but should not be bad at all! I mixed 6 4 3 2 and 1 week olds.Just had to make sure the lil ones didn't get kicked around and was able to get to the food. All doing great!!!

God Bless!
