Wow, that's great! I love hearing this. Do you just have the one PBR right now, or multiple? I'd heard that having multiple PBRs can be problematic, that they can get cliquey and bully, which is what turned me off. Now I'm wondering if maybe having just one is the answer.My favorite hen is a PBR! She is very smart and sweet. She is definitely the top hen, but she has had multiple roommate switches and has adapted well. There is no bloodshed or missing feathers. She lays an egg almost every day. She has not been broody, but cared for a disabled chick we had when no one else would. She is currently living with two docile cochins with no problems. I know individual personality plays a role as well, but I love my PBR's.
