Hello chicken mamas and lovers. I just joined and am excited to have a forum thread to chit chat with you all. I am newer to hatching and raising chickens on my own…. as of a year n half ago. Although I grew up in Oregon and have always had my hands in things. My grandmother had chickens as well as my mother. Currently last year we hatched two Silkys and one EE mixed Australorp and we have three lavender olive eggers one being out ROO.
We are going to be hatching some more Silkys with in the next month and also going to do a few experiments with silky mixed with our ROO. I also ordered Some Americana eggs to hatch so we can try to get some blue eggs in our farm family. Here is a picture of KIWI our friendliest hen she’s my daughters friend…..

We have an organic garden which has surprisingly done very well being we are in the desert.
I look forward to sharing and connecting with many of you. I love pictures and advice I’m here to learn ; )
