Hello...we are the allens from north central west virginia. We are seriuosly seeking to raise our own chickens for meat and eggs. We have a 10x12x10ft tall shed we want to make into a coop. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i need to do to it to make it chicken ready? It has a solid floor, a good roof, a window that doesnt open, a door and thats about it. Its very sturdy built. Also, we need to know what type of chicken is good for beginners as well as the feed needed. Like i said, we are greenhorns at this. The reason we are doing this is i am 44 yrs old and i have had two heart attacks. I have changed my diet and i want to eat healthy eggs ang poultry. So.....thats us in a nut shell. God bless
