(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No I've had them off and on over my life span. Most recently this past July.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 22. Columbian Wyandotte's, Blue Cochins, and Light Brahmas
(3) What breeds do you have?
I also have a pair of Pilgrim geese.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I like watching the crazy things they do. I like learning to befriend them. I will like having the eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I work full time (thankfully mostly remotely for now), have an Australian Shepard and a Border Collie mix, and a deaf cat. Other interests: gardening, and most anything outdoors and with the animals.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have an old barn that houses a coop my partner built and lined with old sheet metal between the wall boards and ceiling to keep out the rodents.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :
I came across BYC by accident this summer while researching chicken coop specs. Learning more than ever over the previous times with chickens.
