Hello, i'm emma from peterborough uk, i have quails & i have joined this after one of my females sucessfully brooded & hatched chicks! We found them this morning after a few weeks of encouragement i can't tell you how happy i am that she has done this & we have babies! We were given quails after our father in law could no longer look after them, this is the first ever lot she has brooded and we have only had them a month or so! We have no experience so any pointers absolutley appriciated! I researched online how to make her comfortable after my father in law telling me there was no way she would brood the chicks! I did all the best advice i had read and it paid off. Super happy & super proud today me! Sorry for the long post just so happy! Enma XOXO

Congrats on the new chicks. Sounds like your hard work paid off. How exciting!!!

Perhaps you have already done so, but this forum may have some helpful information for you:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/11/raising-baby-chicks. You can also try using the BYC search bar to search specific topics like "broody hen/quail and chicks".

Best of luck to you and your new clutch!

Very nice to meet you Emma. You have every right to be proud and excited. That is wonderful news.
