Hello, I am new to backyard chickens! I've been reading all the threads here and have learned a lot! I have 4 orpingtons and 2 easter eggers! We've enjoyed having chickens for sure! Love getting our one egg a day. I have one buff laying and 3 others that should be they are 20 weeks old. My easter eggers are 18 weeks.

Some hens won't lay during the winter period of shortened daylight hours. As we get nearer to spring, I think you'll be finding more eggs. Glad you joined us at BYC.
