First time chick mommy!! First night down and all my girls still present and accounted for! Maybe I won't check the temperature in their basket a billion times today. Probably only a million. Trying not to overthink this but hoping they all make it!!

Tell us what breed of chicks you have and share a photo if you'd like. They do have a way of taking over all your time, lol.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. There's also the Search bar in the left corner, under the logo, to help you find information.

It's nice to have you here and have fun with the chicks!

Hi and welcome to BYC - don't worry, being anxious is all part of the game [IMG] Give it a year or so and you will smile to yourself about all the fretting you may be doing right now. The Learning Centre is a good resource for first timers (and curious older timers also) and your state thread (just type your state in the search box) will be helpful in terms of putting you in contact with other BYC members local to you. I'd do the same myself, but I'd only be posting and responding to myself! [IMG].

Feel at home here and enjoy your chicks!

    All the best
    CT

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on CTKen; if you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

" only checking a million times," seems good enough to me. Welcome to Backyard chickens. Would love to see photos of the babies.
