I got 15 silkies on Friday and I have lost two so far, one looked kind of slow from day one, the other one I think it got to hot in the brooder today. None of them were panting and they are able to get out of the light and I raised it up before I went to work, but when I got back home the thermometer under the light was reading over 110 but still none were panting so i am a little lost. It was about 85 out today tho. I also noticed that some of them had hard poop around the vent so I removed it with some water so I hope won't loose anymore, I plan on raising the light higher and also comeing home at lunch tomorrow to check the temp. Thanks for all the nice welcome posts, iv been on the site before and I finally pulled the plug and joined
