In the Brooder
Hello, I am new to these forums.
I grew up with ducks, but have not had any in a while. I am looking to introduce something back into my yard though.
I have recently moved, and now is my perfect opportunity to start a flock of something over again.
I was initially thinking ducks again, because I have dealt with them in the past... but then I thought I'd go with guineas for tick control... there appears to be a lot of ticks here, and they'd be good... but other than ticks I have no real interest in guineas. Now I'm thinking maybe just chickens.
Anyway, in short, I have joined here to do research to help me make my choice since I would be a first time owner of chickens or guineas!
So far just from browsing I have learned a lot!

! Pleased to have you with us! Glad you are entering the poultry world and doing some research before committing. Not sure if you are city or country, but if you are city I'd advise against guineas. They are ridiculously loud and your neighbors would quickly become annoyed. Of the three I think chickens are the easiest. Here's a link to the Guinea fowl thread
