I am new to the chicken world. I just got 4 in june. They started laying a few months ago and I have been getting 3 to 4 eggs a day. Now I am getting 2 or less. Is anything wrong?

Thank you. I looked for signs of molting but haven't seen any so far.

Day length has an impact on hormone levels thereby affecting egg production. Frequently first year birds will continue laying through the winter, but a lot depends upon the breeds involved.

Greetings from Kansas, Clair1955, and :welcome! Great to have you aboard! I agree with the advice of sourland on the shortening day as the culprit as to why your production has dwindled. Best wishes and thank you for joining BYC! :yiipchick
