This is a long shot...but... I'm looking for a lamb for my daughter for Christmas. One that I don't have to shear. Does anyone have some for sale or know someone who does. We have 15 free range chickens and two ducks and want to add the lamb to our family.

I've never raised or shopped for lambs before but the tip sourland gave you for Backyard Herds seems like a good place to start. You could also try asking on your state thread (just put your state name in the search box to find it).

agree with Sourland. I don't think there are any breeds where they don't have to be sheared. You may have to get livestock clippers and learn to do it yourself. Also don't know if a lamb would be happy without another lamb. Plus it won't stay a little lamb for long.
