Hello. I've had chicken's for almost 2 years and for the second time I am allowing my brooder to hatch her clutch. The first time did not end well. This time we're hoping it ends better. I have been searching online every time I have a question and getting such varied answers. I have been on backyard chickens several times and found some pretty good information so I decided to join and get some of my own questions answered.

Hi and welcome to BYC. You will always receive conflicting information on most issues. My suggestion would be to sponge it all up and then go with your gut feeling. There's rarely a right or wrong way to do things imo.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

You have definitely come to the right place for all the fun and learning! Good luck with your broody hatch this time around. It sure is fun to watch Momma and her babies as she teaches them how to grow.

Good luck and welcome to our roost! :)

I had no intention of hatching chicks but circumstance as they were I forgot to check for eggs for a few days so I went ahead and left them all. Not the most ideal way to work it but I'm kind of glad I did because it's exciting to watch them. 2 have hatched already.
