I just started the whole chicken thing in Spring when we got them at work, and I love it! Its so fun to watch them and the fresh eggs every morning are great. I'm also considering starting to try some show with some of the fancy breeds I have acquired. I've got roughly 25 chickens right now, and a lot of variety in the breeds. My rooster is Rocky, he is an Americana and probably the nicest rooster you'll ever meet. He never chases us or shows any aggression towards us at all. He has three main ladies he switches back and forth between; his American girlfriend that he was raised with and our two Red Star sisters. Otherwise we have three white Silkies, a Phoenix, a Sebright, four Rocks (one is a bantam), a Brown Leghorn, a couple Easter Eggers, two Black Copper Marans, one mixed mutt (I think it was suppose to be a Silkie/Maran cross), and one naked neck.

I am glad you are enjoying your poultry journey! Chickens sure are fun to keep. Makes you wonder why you didn't start keeping them sooner!

I'd really like to show my sebright (don't tell the others, but she's one of my favorites :x ), her name is Skully. I absolutely love her personality, she's the smallest one of the bunch but the toughest, quickest, and quite smart. Her and the Phoenix I have are inseparable, so I might have to show her with Skully as well. I'll try and upload a picture later :3
 
I hope you will show her, I love Sebrights. It would help I'm sure if she went to shows with the Phoenix, her friend. Please do post photos.
