We are new to chicken care. We meaning my husband and I. This is our first flock. We have had them since March. We have 6 beautiful ladies. Two Ameraucanas, 2 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Australorps. They just started laying, about 2 weeks ago.
I found your site, because I was constantly asking Google questions and each time, this site was first listed. I decided I would join, because the questions keep coming and the more I read, the more I have.

We have recently started raising Blue Australorp chickens. We bought straight run with high hopes of obtaining a male.

This site is a major data base for sure. Google brings it up a lot.
I use BYC more because I get real life people answering questions.
