I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

I don't know of any others in Scotland, I got her as one of a bunch of eggs from a breeder down in Devon. She was the only one that hatched. But they're still bred in Germany.

Thank you! Sadly Luzie is currently on her own - her last flock mate left us yesterday, so I'm currently trying to find someone nearby that has some chickens to sell. I posted a question about introducing newbies in the 'Managing your flock' section, but will have a look at the topics as well, ta!

This is a Zombie thread and the OP was only on for a month back in 2017.

I hope you find answers about the breed!
