Hello. we've been raising chickens for just over two years. we started with six, but seem to have become the home for wayward chickens with orphans here there and everywhere, pus a few purchased for a purpose we have grown to 46. My husband is an accomplished coop builder having made three, plus a hen house, and about two acres of land has become what our daughter named "Chicken Land". We raise chickens for eggs, meat, and love, and have a variety of breeds, depending on their purpose. Any rescues that we take on "pet status" are put into the care of our daughter- the self proclaimed "Chicken Mama" and they live in the lap of chicken luxury. we believe it is our responsibility to raise all of our livestock with the highest quality of life we can provide.

:welcome If you watch and read enough .You can get free chickens from all over the country .Somebody always looking for a s aw good kind sole to unload some chicken :lau The BYC is to members like you are chickens Always room for one more Warning it can be very addicting . Easy to make new friends .Easy to lose track of time while engrossed in deep conversations about hatching and just about everything involving chickens . And maybe a little gossip thrown in just to spice up the day .

Yeah, I only have 4.5 and it has 22 enclosures of pheasants and quail. Im either going to have to move or cut back.:lau Several of the enclosures are 100' x 50'
