That’s a great idea! Thank you so much. As far as I know, she’s about a week old, but the employees at the feed store couldn’t give me an exact day.

Tee hee, Opal sounds very mischievous :p At the risk of being an echo, I agree that she would probably be happier with some friends.

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has a Learning Centre and also Topic of the Week articles which I have found to be a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of Opal or her friends when they arrive :p [insert enabler warning here] you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Thank you so much for all of the information. Everyone here has been so warm and welcoming. I don’t even know my next door neighbor’s name, but someone on here has already wished me a happy birthday.

I’ll be sure to share plenty of stories and pictures! I’ve got my eye set on “chicken mom of the year”.
