New here. Not yet a chicken person but will be shortly, albeit a reluctant one (hence the name). Still, gotta learn about these critters so I've gotten some good info from lots of folks here. Thank you for that. I hope to pay it forward to another newbie down the line.

We don't have chickens yet but will have chicks next week. I'm reluctant to do this but am outnumbered and was outvoted. But no reason not to learn, right?

I too want to hear more to this story? Spouse talking you in to it? 'Saving' chickens that no one else wants?

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Ooops, sorry, I just saw your post within a post explaining more.

Hubby was a little reluctant when I suggested we get chickens and now he loves them as much as I do and even has one of his own which he frequently reminds me is his chicken and the only good girl
